Book Tag | Fantasy Winter Retreat

Here’s the premise:
You get to go on a week-long retreat to chill and have fun after the stressful 2020 experience. set the scene of your dream winter retreat and, using the prompts, round up the characters you’d like to vacation with!

Step One: Travel destination and accommodation

I was suppose to be moving to Latin America in August 2020, but when the pandemic hit in the spring, that was obviously out of the cards. I would still love to live and travel to Costa Rica. Typically, I am a hostel hopper, but if I am bringing along this many characters, lets rent an AirBnB and really make this a party! haha Also the fact that Costa Rica is so close to the equator, great ‘winter’ weather since I am not a fan of the cold! haha

Step Two: Who’s Joining!?

A fun character who’s presence would cheer up any situation

This was easy. Not only would Fred and George would absolutely cheer everyone up no matter what!

A character who would parent everyone

Am I basic for saying Hermione Granger? She would most definitely keep everyone in line and out of trouble. And if we get into trouble, she’s clever enough to save us lol.

A character who would plan games and other activities

I mean, I know Jay Gatsby is only trying to impress Daisy, but fortunately for us, we all get to benefit from his planning!

A character who would rather cozy up in blankets and sleep/laze around all day

Garfield lol. But for reals, I have no idea. Can I suggest myself? I am that person who always plans and organizes vacations for everyone so I think it would be a nice change in pace for someone else to do that for me and I get to laze around and not have to plan anything.

A character who had to cancel other plans to be here

Stella from Bright Young Things by Staci Hart. She is a popular socialite that throws her own, very exclusive, very lavish parties. I imagine she would have to cancel plans to come on my planned vacation lol.

A character who brought their work along with them

Alexander Hamilton! While I have bought Hamilton: The Revolution, I haven’t yet read it. But based on the play, I think it is safe to assume he would definitely bring his work with him! Could you imagine if this man had access to a computer? Oh goodness.

A character who would not leave their partner’s side

I just read this book, so it is sticking out in my head. Roman, the main character in this series would not leave his partners side for sure.

A character who is amused by everyone’s antics

Alex Diaz from Red, White, & Royal Blue would be amused by everyone’s antics. I am sure he would even encourage them!
